Get your personalized race results without having to wait for them to be posted! New this year, your race bib will have a QR code on it that links to your individual results from the 5K and 10K. Simply scan the QR code to view your race time.
NEW START TIME
We are excited to offer our certified 10K course for the second year! We will be adjusting the start times of our races to alleviate some of the congestion we experienced last year. The 10K will start at 7:15 a.m. and the 5K will start at 7:45 a.m., allowing for a 30-minute transition between the races.
YOUTH DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT
Our Youth Dodgeball Tournament is making a comeback! Last year, we had 50 participants who had a great time starting a Thanksgiving tradition of their own. The tournament will be for kids ages 4 to 15, and will be available for $10, including a t-shirt. Register early by clicking here!
TURKEY BURNER GROUP EXERCISE CLASS
This year, we've added an event for our Group Exercise enthusiasts. We know that not everybody enjoys a walk/run, so we have decided to expand our Turkey Trot to accommodate your needs! Join us for a special Turkey Burner Group Exercise Mash Up in Studio A. Online registration is required for this event, which includes a Turkey Trot T-shirt. Registration prices follow the structure of the 5K walk/run and Cycling class. Register early by clicking here!
VIRTUAL RACE OPTION
Are you a Turkey Trot regular, but you're traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday? Our new virtual race option is the perfect fit for you!
The virtual option allows you to still participate in the 5K and 10K walk/run and get a t-shirt to commemorate the 21st Annual Turkey Trot. When you've finished your race, simply post your finish photo on the YMCA's Facebook page so we can celebrate with you!
-As a virtual participant, you still will receive your race t-shirt. These shirts will be available for pickup at the YMCA starting on Wednesday, November 23 at 9 a.m.
OPTIONAL TEXT WITH UNOFFICIAL RACE TIME
When you register online, you have the option to sign up for a FREE text message with your unofficial time. You will receive this as soon as you cross the finish line!
IMPROVED VENDOR EXPO AND RACE DAY GIVEAWAYS
We have a lot of great sponsors and vendors lined up to participate in our Race Day Expo. Be sure to stop by their booths for giveaways, samples, information and more.
In addition to giveaways and our vendor expo, we will be raffling off baskets from our community partners. Stop by the table in the lobby starting Monday, November 21 to check out the items and enter to win!
BIG HAMMOCK RACE SERIES
It's not too late to join the Big Hammock Race Series! You'll be given credit if you have completed other Big Hammock Races in Season 2. The Frank DeLuca YMCA Turkey Trot is race #3 in the Big Hammock Race Series.
WHAT IS THE BHRS?
The Big Hammock Race Series is an 8 race series throughout Marion County that allows runners/walkers of all levels to achieve prizes and perks as they work through the fitness challenge. The year long series offers participants the ability to challenge themselves by acquiring points based on their race finish time and/or simply complete each race at their own pace to achieve series medals. TRAIN FOR YOUR NEXT RACE
As a proud partner of the Big Hammock Race Series, the YMCA has developed a training program that is designed to help you start - or continue - training for your next race. This year-round training program allows you to continually get better and maintain an active lifestyle.
Not a runner? Not a problem. We train at your pace.
Our training plans start with walk/run intervals so that you can build your stamina. In addition, the Y's certified personal trainers will take you through a cross-training program that is designed to help you build your strength and endurance. Our goal is to help you land your next PR, even if it means taking you from the couch to your first 5K.
